chinahaul.best is a small independent publication about shopping in China as a foreign visitor: what is worth buying, where it is sold, and what the rules are around getting it home.

What we are

• An information site. We are not a shop, an agent, a forwarder, or a booking service.
• Unofficial. We have no relationship with any platform, retailer or government body mentioned on this site.
• Reader-supported through affiliate links where disclosed. See the affiliate disclosure.

What we are not

• We do not give legal, tax or customs advice. Rules differ by destination and change without notice. Your own customs authority is the only authority on what you may bring home.
• We do not cover, list or link to counterfeit, "replica" or "rep" goods, or the spreadsheets that collect them.
• We do not sell data or run paid placements.

Why the site exists

Most English coverage of the 2026 China shopping trend is written from English-language summaries of Chinese reporting. That is fine as news, but it cannot answer the questions a traveller actually has: which threshold applies, which counter to go to, which document to keep.

Those answers are in Chinese-language primary documents. Reading them is the whole reason this site exists. See method & sources for exactly how we do it and what we store.

Corrections

If something here is wrong, it is a defect we want to know about. Write to the address on the method page with the URL and the specific claim; we date every correction on the page itself rather than editing quietly.
